Series: Why Bother?
August 25, 2024
The gospel of Jesus is good news for everyone—regardless of background, questions, or past. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s heart for inclusion, welcoming all people into his family. The story of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8 is a powerful example, showing that faith isn’t limited by culture, status, or circumstance. The Church is called to reflect that same openness—a place where doubts are welcomed, struggles are met with grace, and every person is invited into the hope and transformation found in Christ.

- “Baptism reminds us that there is no ladder to holiness to climb, no self-improvement plan to follow. It is just death and resurrection, over and over again, day after day, as God reaches down into our deepest graves and with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, wrests us from our pride, our apathy, our fear, our prejudice, our anger, our hurt, and our despair.” - Rachel Held Evans
