Series: Faith and Doubt
September 11, 2022 | Paul Joslin
Notes:
- Deconstruction is the process of taking apart and examining an idea, tradition, practice, or belief to determine its truthfulness, usefulness, and impact, sometimes to the point of no longer identifying as a Christian.
- If you have wandered away from the faith or if faith no longer works for you, or you’ve given up on church—but there is still some part of you that is drawn to Jesus? Lean into that. Blasé Pascal once said, “The heart has its reasons for which reason knows nothing.” If your heart is saying there is something beautiful about Christ that your head just can’t quite comprehend, that’s ok. Lean into the beauty of Jesus and see what happens. You might just find there are some things too beautiful not to be true.
