The volunteers at Severe Weather Shelter Network (SWSN) help prevent homeless deaths due to exposure on freezing nights.

Ways to Get Involved:

On the days/evenings that are declared shelter nights.

  • Registration Assistant: assist with registration and vouchering on shelter nights. Daytime hours.
  • Food Packaging: package prepared food items into individual meals for shelter guests. Evening hours.
  • Food Delivery: deliver packaged meals to hotels where shelter guests are staying. Evening hours.
