Series: Waterstone Mission

August 21, 2022 | Paul Joslin

We are hungry for more Jesus and a more full, robust discipleship to him. We hope to be a church that longs for God's kingdom and is radically marked and changed by the person of Jesus.

  • "Spiritual formation in the Christian tradition is a process of increasingly being possessed and permeated by the character traits of Jesus as we walk in the easy yoke of discipleship with Jesus our teacher." -Dallas Willard

  • “Evangelical Christianity in the United states is often characterized by a deep desire to have “Christianity” pervade our culture but not have Christ permeate our being.” -Rich Villodas

  •  “Christian worship is essential counter formation to those rival liturgies we are often immersed in, cultural practices that covertly capture our loves and our longings, miscalibrating them, and orienting us to rival visions of the good life.” -James K.A. Smith

  • “A disciple is a learner, a student, an apprentice—a practitioner…Disciples of Jesus are people who do not just profess certain views as their own but apply their growing understanding of life in the Kingdom of the Heavens to every aspect of their life on earth.” -Dallas Willard
